Thanks to a post by Cleopatra Loves Books, I thought this would be a fun challenge to do, too, and it was!
The aim is to find a book on your bookshelves that contains (either on the cover or in the title) an example for each category. You must have a separate book for all 20, get as
creative as you want and do it within five minutes!! (or longer if you have way too many books on way too many overcrowded shelves!)
It took me a little longer than five minutes as I kept being distracted by some forgotten favourites on my shelves, but I did manage to find a book for all of the categories.
01. FOOD
02. TRANSPORTATION
03. WEAPON
04. ANIMAL
05. NUMBER
06. SOMETHING YOU READ
Wills are read. I know the "wills" in the title is not this type of will but it was all I had for this cagtegory.
07. BODY OF WATER
08. PRODUCT OF FIRE
09. ROYALTY
10. ARCHITECTURE
11. ITEM OF CLOTHING
A whole washing line full!
12. FAMILY MEMBER
13. TIME OF DAY
14. MUSIC
15. PARANORMAL BEING
16. OCCUPATION
17. SEASON
18. COLOUR
Scarlet in the title and a scarlet clad soldier on the cover.
19. CELESTIAL BODY
The southern cross is a familiar sight in the night sky in the southern hemisphere. It is also depicted on the Australian flag.
20. SOMETHING THAT GROWS
A waratah is a large shrub or small tree that is native to the south-eastern parts of Australia.
Well, that's my twenty. Why don't you give it a go?
I'm unfamiliar with most of these...but nice choices.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joseph. I enjoyed reading your picks and explanations.
