The Classics Club was created to inspire people to read and blog about classic books. It was started back in March, 2012, and to-date has a very extensive list of members. All the details and how to join are here.
I read some of the more popular classics while growing up (Dickens, Alcott, Thackeray etc) but never quite got around to some of the lesser known authors or books. This challenge is the perfect way to encourage that reading and to keep track of my progress as well.
My aim was to read 50 books by 9th October, 2022, but as I am not even close to finishing my list by that date, I've extended it by two years to 9th October, 2024.
As this is a living list, some of the titles may be swapped out over time, but for now this is my list (to be read in no particular order):
01. THE NEBULY COAT by John Meade Falkner
02. DEERBROOK by Harriet Martineau
03. THE NEST OF THE SPARROWHAWK by Emmuska Orczy
04. MY GRAND ENEMY by Jean Stubbs
05. I KNOW MY LOVE by Catherine Gaskin
