Aussie Author Challenge 2018 - My Sign Up Post

Aim: To showcase the quality and diversity of the books being produced by Australian authors.

I've yet to successfully complete this challenge though I read many novels by Australian authors. This year I'm participating at the Kangaroo level:

read and review 12 titles written by Australian Authors of which at least 4 of those authors are female, at least 4 of those authors are male, and at least 4 of those authors are new to you; Fiction or non-fiction, at least 3 genre.

Here are the books I intend to read for this challenge, in no particular order. This list may change during the year.

05. Mrs.M by Luke Slattery (Contemporary/historical fiction, author new to me)

06. Opal Dragon by Julian Leatherdale (Historical fiction, author new to me)
07. When Colts Ran by Roger McDonald (Contemporary fiction)
08. Ghosts of the Empire by Justin Sheedy (Historical fiction)
09. The Power Game by Meg and Tom Keneally (Historical crime/mystery)
10. The Lily and the Rose by Jackie French (Historical romance)
11. Ambulance Girls Under Fire by Deborah Burrows (Historical fiction)
12.The Secrets at Ocean's Edge by Kali Napier (Historical fiction, author new to me)

  1. Wonderful to have you joining us again in the challenge Yvonne. Many titles in your reading list I'd not come across before so looking forward to your reviews. And thanks for the reminder that I've been wanting to read the Keneally's Monsarrat Series and still have not found time to -- hopefully this year :)
