Stacking the Shelves #2

Stacking The Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It is about sharing the books you are adding to your physical or virtual shelves. This means you can include books you buy in a physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! You can learn more about this meme by visiting the official launch page.

With minimal storage available for books, most of my reading material comes from the library or the purchase/free downloads of ebooks. Occasionally I purchase a print book for my very small bookshelf, but I tend to reserve space on this for "keepers".

Here is what came into my house over the past week:

    1. I'm making my way through Susanna Kearsley's novels in anticipation of her new release in 2017. Ciji Ware is an author new to me. Good reviews prompted me to add Island of Swans to my TBR pile.

  2. Nice additions. I enjoy Catherine Gaskin's work but Blake's Reach is one I haven't read yet. And Ghost of the Mary Celeste is very good.

    1. Of all the Catherine Gaskin novels I've read so far Sara Dane is my favourite. I couldn't resist Blake's Reach with its setting in the late 18th century, smugglers and an old house on Romney Marsh.

  3. It looks like you have some interesting books there. I've been borrowing from my library a lot lately as well. Its a great way to support your community and save money. I look forward to hearing what you think about The Nightingale. I'm hoping to listen to it in audio sometime soon.

    1. I agree! I'd be lost without a library. An outreach service comes to my little community once a week to deliver and collect books. This turns in to a social occasion for an hour or so where a handful of us discuss or recommend what we've been reading ... an impromptu book club!
The Nightingale has some excellent reviews and it is set in one of my favourite time periods, so I don't think I'll be disappointed.
