I am happy to receive books to review from authors, publicists or publishers.

As I currently have an overwhelming pile of books awaiting review, I am no longer accepting review requests until further notice.

However, if I have reviewed one of your books previously, you are an Australian author or you are a publicist/publisher/blog tour organiser from whom I have accepted review copies from in the past, please still feel free to contact me.

My preferred format is print, but I will accept ebooks (mobi file preferred) as I know how prohibitive international postage to Australia, where I live, can be. I do not review audio books.

My preferred historical periods are those spanning the times of William the Conqueror (1066) to post-World War II (the late 1940s). My particular favourites are the Napoleonic Wars, World War I, World War II and the inter-war years (1919-1938).

The opinions expressed in my reviews are my own and from the viewpoint of a reader who reads for pleasure only. I am not a professional review writer and my reviews reflect this. I try to be as honest as I can without being disrespectful, especially when I review books I didn't like, though these, I'm happy to say, are in the minority. If I dislike a book to the extent I cannot find anything positive to include in a review, I will contact the author/publicist/publisher with my reasons.

I can't give a guarantee as to how long it will take me to read and review your book, as this blog (and book reviewing) is my hobby and life has a habit of getting in the way. I don't work to a strict timetable, but can meet a deadline if need be.

In addition to this blog, my reviews are posted on Goodreads, Amazon (Australia), Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, and NetGalley if my review copy came via them. I am happy to post on other sites if requested.

Unfortunately time does not permit me to write a full review of every book I read, but I always leave a rating on Goodreads.

To help with the promotion of books, I also participate in blog tours, various memes and reading challenges.

A quick look at my blog will give you an idea of the kind of reviews I write and the types of books I read.

If you have a book that you think I would like to read and review, please contact me at: adarngoodread[at]yahoo[dot]com

Happy Reading!
